The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course
is designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy developed by ALERRRT in
2004. It provides strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter
event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response
options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills.
Light refreshments and sandwiches will be provided.
Please note: This is an intense program with discussions about real-life shooter events which
may be upsetting to some individuals.
